Ecumen is seeking a Maintenance Technician for full-time work, 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday through Friday. The role supports Willow Wood Apartments in White Bear Lake and Lilac Parkway in Robbinsdale, with on-call duties for emergencies.

The position involves maintenance and janitorial tasks, HVAC and equipment upkeep, and coordination with contractors. Attractive benefits accompany competitive hourly pay and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years janitorial/maintenance experience.
• Minnesota Special Engineer Boiler License or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Valid driver's license, insurance, and clean driving record.
• Strong safety knowledge and ability to follow procedures.

Responsabilités

• Operate building equipment including HVAC and maintenance tasks.
• Complete non-routine repairs and apartment turns (carpentry, painting, plumbing).
• Maintain supplies and report procurement needs.
• Perform safety tasks such as fire drills and generator operations.
• Provide training to new team members and coordinate with contractors.
• Perform janitorial duties and general housekeeping.
• Handle on-call emergencies as needed.

This position will support both Willow Wood Apartments in White Bear Lake and Lilac Parkway is in Robbinsdale.

• Position works every Monday-Friday
• Supports Willow Wood Apts 3 days a week and Lilac Parkway 2 days a week.

• Pay:
• The targeted pay range for this job is $25.50 - $29.50 per hour.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Operates all building equipment, including HVAC and other fixed asset equipment, performing manufacturer’s recommended routine maintenance tasks as identified in the preventive maintenance software.
• Completes work requests for non-routine repairs on all building equipment including performing apartment room turns involving minor carpentry, painting, plumbing, etc. including resident requests for service.
• Maintains maintenance and janitorial supply and equipment levels, reports procurement needs to supervision.
• Initiates regulatory compliance tasks such as fire drills and emergency generator operations, logging all such activity as required.
• Provides training to new team members on work assignments and schedules.
• Works with contractors performing upgrades, repairs, or new installations.
• Follows all established safety procedures and reports unsafe conditions to supervision, participates in safety committee meetings or conducts regular safety training to staff, documenting all activities.
• Responsible for janitorial duties such as carpet extraction, specialty cleaning tasks, hard floor care and routine housekeeping tasks.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Driving Requirements:

Local Travel and Driver’s License Required

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years janitorial/maintenance experience
• Minnesota Special Engineer Boiler License or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
• Valid Drivers License, proof of insurance and satisfactory motor vehicle record
• Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats
• Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Globally Harmonized System (GHS), Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident’s Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations
