Job summary

Bellbrook is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to perform maintenance and repairs on buildings, property and equipment, ensuring a safe, clean environment for residents and staff under the supervision of the Environmental Services Manager. The role supports a compassionate community delivering high-quality care.

This full-time position emphasizes teamwork in a fast-paced, resident-focused setting with evenings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with vocational training in maintenance-related program.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals.
• Must be able to obtain a Chauffeur license and must have a safe driving record.
• Knowledge and experience in using and maintaining a variety of manual and power tools and equipment.
• Previous experience working in long-term care or with the geriatric population preferred.

POSITION PURPOSE

Under supervision of the Environmental Services Manager / Designee, the Environmental Services Technician performs maintenance and repair work on buildings, property and equipment to ensure a comfortable, safe and clean environment for residents and staff members

MINIMUM QUALIFACTIONS

• High School Diploma or equivalent with vocational training in maintenance-related program and a minimum of 1 year experience in general maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals.
• Must be able to obtain a Chauffeur license and must have a safe driving record
• Knowledge and experience in using and maintaining a variety of manual and power tools and equipment.
• Previous experience working in long-term care or with the geriatric population preferred.
• Must possess excellent customer service skills and professionalism.
• Must possess strong communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to ongoing change and work in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment.
• Possesses interpersonal skills to work as an effective team member and to positively relate to all residents.
• Self-starter, highly motivated with a high productivity level.
