Sunset Manor and Village is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep of residential units, common areas, and building systems. The ideal candidate is hands-on, communicative, and committed to serving senior adults with professionalism and care.

This full-time, 32-hour weekly role offers a 2nd shift (12 pm–8 pm), competitive wage starting at $22/hour, and a benefits package including health, dental, vision, PTO, and retirement matching.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of skilled trades including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and general building systems.
• Preferred experience in multi-unit residential, healthcare, hospitality, or institutional facilities.

Responsabilités

• Perform general facility and unit maintenance across residential and common areas.
• Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs.
• Assist turnovers: drywall repair, painting, flooring touch-ups, cabinetry and door hardware.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot basic HVAC, plumbing, and electrical issues.
• Perform root-cause analysis for recurring or complex issues.
• Conduct safety checks on emergency lighting, alarms, exhaust systems, and mechanical equipment.
• Document all work using maintenance logs or work-order systems.
• Collaborate with maintenance staff, project teams and residents.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will support the maintenance, repair, and improvement of residential units, common areas, and building systems. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with broad technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to serving senior adults with professionalism and care.

How you will make an impact as a Maintenance Team Member:

• Provide highly diversified duties related to installing and maintaining facility equipment, building structures, and grounds.
• Fulfills service requests in a timely fashion.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and facilities.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments.
• Provide great customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general facility and unit maintenance across residential and common areas.

• Help with turnovers, including drywall repair, painting, flooring touch-ups, cabinetry adjustments, door and lock work, and hardware fixes.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot basic HVAC, plumbing, and electrical issues.
• Perform root-cause analysis for recurring or complex issues.
• Conduct safety checks on emergency lighting, alarms, exhaust systems, and mechanical equipment.
• Document all work completed using maintenance logs and/or work-order systems.
• Collaborate with maintenance staff, project teams and residents.

The role is Full time at 32 hours a week. Monday through Friday schedule on 2nd shift (12 pm - 8 pm) with a weekend rotation within the department.

Wage: Starting at $22/hour and goes up based on experience.
