Description

The schedule is Full-Time Monday-Friday 8am-4pm.

National Capital Treatment & Recovery, formerly Phoenix House, a substance abuse treatment facility in Arlington, VA, is currently seeking a full-time Facilities Technician. The Facilities Technician will be responsible for providing a safe, secure, and appropriate facility at each program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain health, safety, sanitation, and fire systems to standards of compliance for licensing bodies.
• Perform routine inspections of facilities with program directors.
• Identify deficiencies and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain and upgrade facilities.
• Ensure physical conditions promote respect, dignity, and privacy of clients.
• Manage space and supplies for staff in each facility.
• Oversee maintenance of all NCTR vehicles, ensuring inspections, stickers, registrations, and insurance are current.
• Report vehicle damages and investigate incidents.
• Assist in transporting clients as needed.
• Maintain professional standards and adhere to policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with CARF standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain certifications.
• Maintain professional boundaries with staff and clients.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 1 year experience in maintenance/repair.
• Knowledge of substance abuse is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.
• HVAC certification.
