Job summary

100Hires, Inc. is seeking a hands-on maintenance technician to develop working knowledge of our production machinery and systems. The role emphasizes coordination with maintenance and production teams to complete repairs safely and promptly.

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and support fabrication parts with machine shop tools. Flexibility in hours and bilingual Spanish is preferred; training for forklift and lift operation may be provided.

Qualifications

  • Experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance.
  • Ability to read diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance on engines, motors, conveyors and production machines.
  • Troubleshoot malfunctions and diagnose root causes.
  • Maintain inventory of parts and tools; prepare maintenance reports.
  • Coordinate with maintenance and production teams to ensure safe, timely repairs.
  • Operate forklift/scissor lift and obtain company certification as needed.
  • Adhere to safety rules and maintain clean, safe work environment.

Job description

This self-starting, mechanically inclined individual will be responsible for developing a working knowledge of the machinery and equipment used in the production processes. This person must be adept at working with others, coordinating with the maintenance team members, as well as production personnel to ensure repairs are accomplished safely, and in a timely manner.Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.Diagnosis of root cause of problems and makes appropriate repairsControls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.Previous exposure to welding and machining to assist in the fabrication of repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends utilizing the maintenance system module (Amper)Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related projects as needed.Can be trained in the operation of forklift and scissor lift and achieve company certificationWilling to work flexible hours as customer demands dictateBi-lingual in Spanish preferred.Welding/machining/metal fabrication skills a plus.Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)Health/Dental/Vision insurancePaid time offWork Location: In personYou should be proficient in:Mechanical Troubleshooting SkillsElectrical TroubleshootingElectrical RepairTape Measure ReadingMaintenance and Repair SkillsIndustrial Electrical SystemsEquipment Diagnostics & TroubleshootingMechanical Systems & Component RepairLockout/Tagout (LOTO)Electrical Schematic ReadingLow Voltage Cabling InstallationEquipment Repair & MaintenanceMachines & technologies you'll use:MIG WelderTurning LatheTIG WelderPackaging MachinesWrapping MachinesVoltage Detector (Fluke)Dock Stocker (Stand-Up Reach or Counterbalance Forklift) (Toyota)Manual GrinderPower Tools (DeWalt, Milwaukee)Slitter MachineCalipers and MicrometersProgrammable Logic Controller (PLC) (Allen Bradley)Conveyor SystemsBox Folding Machine
