Job summary

Davis Development is seeking a Maintenance Technician to uphold the community's physical integrity and provide a safe, comfortable living environment for residents and staff. You will diagnose, repair, and coordinate make-ready work while following EPA/OSHA regulations and safety standards.

You will operate with a team-oriented approach and may handle emergency requests, drive a valid vehicle, and assist with vendor coordination to maintain property standards.

Qualifications

  • Requires 2+ years in maintenance or a related field.
  • EPA/OSHA, Fair Housing, and pool certification are required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and perform minor or routine maintenance and repairs on units and equipment.
  • Move heavy appliances and equipment as needed.
  • Coordinate make-ready repairs and services after move-out inspections.
  • Comply with EPA/OSHA regulations on storage and handling of hazardous materials.
  • Create and assist with work orders to ensure timely completion.
  • Schedule vendors and contractors for curb appeal.
  • Ensure amenities and grounds are ready for review.
  • Inspect move-outs and report damages to Maintenance Supervisor.

Job description

Your role:

As a Maintenance Technician, you will maintain the physical integrity of the community by ensuring a safe, secure, and comfortable living environment for residents, visitors, and staff maintenance responsibilities.


What you will do:


  • Diagnose and perform minor or routine preventative maintenance or repair on all units and equipment

  • Remove and transfer heavy appliances and equipment from storage area to apartment (or vice versa) as circumstances warrant

  • Inspect and help coordinate all needed make-ready repairs and services of apartments after move out

  • Use expert knowledge to abide by pertinent laws and EPA and OSHA regulations governing proper storage and management of hazardous materials

  • Create and assist with work orders to ensure they are completed in a timely manner

  • Schedule vendors and contractors/responsible for curb appeal

  • Ensure all amenities and grounds are finished and ready for review

  • Walk move-outs to assess damages/issues and reports results to the Maintenance Supervisor


What you will bring:


  • Two or more years of experience in related field

  • EPA, OSHA, Fair Housing, and pool certification required

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Ability to use good judgment and possess strong problem-solving skills

  • Works as part of a team, as well as completes assignments independently

  • Ability to operate a computer, phone system and general office equipment

  • Must be able to take calls for emergency requests

  • Must have a valid driver's license and daily transportation for getting supplies and other duties

  • May need to drive a golf cart

  • Company provided uniforms
