Maintenance Technician – Food Manufacturing

Location: Milwaukee, WI
Schedule: Multiple Shifts Available (1st, 2nd, and 3rd)
Pay: $27.00 – $44.80 per hour + $5.00 per hour shift differentials
Sign-On Bonus: $5,000
Relocation assistance available


Join Palermo’s Pizza, a leader in frozen pizza manufacturing, as a Maintenance Technician – Food Manufacturing. We're hiring experienced technicians to support production operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

You’ll work with state-of-the-art equipment at our Canal Street plant or West Milwaukee plant. This is a full-time, on-site position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support our production teams by maintaining and repairing all production lines, troubleshooting and performing preventative maintenance on all machinery and equipment.
  • Install, repair, rebuild and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment used in production, packaging, and all other plant areas.
  • Be involved in all aspects of equipment from installation to rebuilding, fitting, and aligning equipment to meet quality and efficiency standards.
  • Demonstrate strong electrical knowledge and troubleshooting skills on controls such as, PLC’s, VFD’s, servos, robotics, and programmable devices.

Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to operate safely by following all food and people guidelines.
  • Utilizing knowledge from your 5+ years’ experience with mechanical repair, plumbing, welding, and electrical repair to facilitate seamless production functionality to deliver daily production goals.
  • Organized and methodical approach to problem solving – often in a time-sensitive, tight-deadline situation where accuracy is critical.
  • Designated lifelong learner with a strong interest in mastering new mechanical technologies.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills ready to work hard to ensure the whole Palermo’s team succeeds.

Schedule & Work Environment:

  • Full-time with openings across all shifts including 1st (6am–3pm), 2nd (2pm–11pm), and 3rd (10pm–7am).
  • 5-day workweek with every other weekend off.
  • Overtime opportunities available.
