We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Permanent Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic Engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide variety of equipment and systems in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our machinery and mechanical equipment, with a particular focus on repair, packaging equipment, CMMS, AC/DC motors, power distribution, and food manufacturing. This role requires a highly skilled individual with a hands-on approach and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on various types of machinery and equipment to ensure continuous operation.
• Troubleshoot and repair broken or malfunctioning equipment, including AC/DC motors and power distribution systems.
• Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) for tracking work orders, spare parts, and maintenance history of plant equipment.
• Install, maintain, and repair packaging equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
• Perform precision measurements using tools such as calipers and micrometers.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations within the facility.
• Work closely with the engineering team to identify potential issues and propose effective solutions.
• Participate in ongoing training and development activities to stay current with relevant technology and industry trends.
• Collaborate with other team members to improve and streamline the maintenance process.
• Assist in the implementation of new machinery and equipment.
  
  

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in the Engineering or related industry.
• Proven experience in repairing, maintaining, and installing packaging equipment.
• Solid knowledge of CMMS, AC/DC motors, and power distribution systems.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
• Experience in the food manufacturing industry is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex machinery issues.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• High degree of mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Relevant certifications or vocational training is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy equipment.
