Job summary

RPM Living is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform general upkeep of interior and exterior common areas at our Washington, DC-area community. You’ll handle custodial tasks, basic repairs, landscaping, pool care, and make-ready unit preparation while adhering to safety guidelines and company policies.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 1 year of related experience; the schedule includes weekdays, with some nights and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; preferred
• At least 1 year of experience in maintenance or related field
• General knowledge in skilled trades including construction/installation, repair, and maintenance, drywall, basic carpentry

Responsibilities

• Perform regular custodial duties around the property and maintain common areas
• Complete grounds work and power washing as directed
• Thoroughly clean breezeways and wipe down doors and handrails
• Execute basic landscaping including trimming and pruning
• Assist in make-ready units (trash outs) prior to occupancy
• Operate power washer, blowers, floor scrubbers, and related equipment
• Assist in pool maintenance and basic pool care
• Respond promptly to on-call and after-hours maintenance requests
• Close and update work orders with completion details
• Perform repairs to maintain aesthetics and structural integrity
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and safety regulations
