Job summary

The Dinerstein Companies in Columbus, OH is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to support on-site upkeep, respond to resident work orders, and assist with preventative maintenance and turns during move-ins/move-outs.

You will document service requests, troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, and help with landscaping, trash removal, and general repairs. A valid driver’s license and city permits are required, HVAC certification and CPO preferred.

Qualifications

At least 1 year of experience in on-site maintenance operations.
Experience delivering customer service as part of a management team.
Ability to troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
Familiarity with building systems including boilers and ventilation.
Must have city/state certifications/permits and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Address resident service requests as directed by the Service Manager.
Document service requests updates, closures, and pending items in the property’s management software.
Repair or replace in-unit and common area lights, filters, fans, paint, etc.
Perform in-unit and community-wide preventative maintenance.
Assist with ongoing upkeep including landscaping, trash removal, and cleaning.
Identify and correct hazardous property conditions as directed by the Service Manager.
Prepare vacant and make-ready apartments for move-ins.
Contribute to a teamwork-focused culture with strong customer service.
