Job summary

The Chesapeake - LifeSpire in Newport News, VA is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the day shift (8am–4pm). You will support the safety, comfort, and functionality of a vibrant senior living campus by performing routine and complex maintenance on electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience with electrical, plumbing, and building systems.
Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams.
Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Perform routine and complex maintenance across our campus, including electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
Diagnose issues and implement solutions with minimal supervision.
Complete preventative maintenance and assist with scheduled renovation or upgrade projects.
Collaborate with fellow team members and outside contractors.
Interact professionally and courteously with residents and staff.
