Job summary

The Chesapeake campus of LifeSpire of Virginia in Newport News is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to care for electrical, mechanical, and building systems. This role supports a senior living community with safety, reliability, and respectful resident interactions at the core.

You will diagnose issues, perform preventative maintenance, and collaborate with residents, staff, and contractors to keep facilities running smoothly and welcoming at all times.

Qualifications

• Hands-on expertise in electrical, mechanical, and general building systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and in various physical environments.
• Team-player mindset and commitment to service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex maintenance across our campus electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Diagnose issues and implement solutions with minimal supervision.
• Complete preventative maintenance and assist with scheduled renovation or upgrade projects.
• Collaborate with fellow team members and outside contractors.
• Interact professionally and courteously with residents and staff.
