Job summary

Zingerman's Delicatessen in Ann Arbor, MI is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support equipment and facilities maintenance on the Deli campus. You will assist with repairs, perform general handyperson tasks, clean equipment, and contribute to upkeep while working in a fast-paced, friendly environment. The position starts at $20-$23/hour (including tips).

Part-time 20-25 hours/week, Thursday-Sunday 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., with some weekend/holiday availability.

Qualifications

• Experience with HVAC, electrical and carpentry work.
• Must have some mechanical background.
• Factory maintenance experience is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Facilities Director with equipment and facilities maintenance to minimize breakdowns and ensure smooth operations.
• Perform minor repairs such as doors, locks, door frames, handles, light bulbs, sockets, switches, and window glass.
• Maintain an organized, stocked maintenance shop for efficiency and cost savings.
• Learn repair of common Delicatessen equipment.
• Ensure workplace safety following all safety rules and the Food and Safety Plan.
• Communicate repair statuses with Managers and staff.
• Complete administrative duties and report maintenance statuses to supervisor.
