Job summary

Harborview Health Systems in Greenville, NC seeks a Maintenance Assistant to perform routine maintenance of building systems and support life-safety compliance. The role emphasizes timely work-order completion, preventative maintenance, and readiness for surveys in a faith-based care environment.

The position requires experience with drywall and hand tools, knowledge of HVAC/plumbing/electrical systems, and availability to respond to emergencies as needed.

Qualifications

Experience in drywall, taping, painting and use of power tools.
NFPA knowledge and experience preferred.
Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems is a plus.
Availability to respond to emergency maintenance needs as required.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance of facility mechanical systems.
Perform preventative maintenance and keep building/site in good repair.
Prioritize and complete work orders in TELS.
Maintain life safety compliance per CMS regulations.
Support survey readiness and ensure safety and environmental compliance.
