Job summary

Compass Connections is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep agency facilities clean, safe and compliant. The role involves operating maintenance equipment, sanitizing buildings, and reporting issues promptly. Strong attention to safety and the ability to work with others are essential.

Minimum two years in janitorial/maintenance with knowledge of chemicals and safe cleaning practices. The job may require evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• Required - High school diploma, or equivalent.
• Required - Two (2) plus years of experience in janitorial or maintenance and knowledge of chemicals and reactions, and safe and proper use of cleaning supplies and equipment; Preferred - Three (3) plus years of related experience and/or training.
• Pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens during employment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff and demonstrate safety-conscious practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe and sanitized conditions in agency buildings and equipment.
• Operate maintenance equipment and report malfunctions immediately.
• Clean, sanitize and maintain buildings and equipment in accordance with policy.
• Meet pre-determined deadlines required by program and partners.
• Report unsafe conditions and suggest solutions to hazards.
• Foster Care Programs support and recruit foster parents as needed.
