Job summary

Compass Connections is seeking a maintenance/janitorial professional to maintain clean, safe, and sanitized buildings and equipment in accordance with agency policies and applicable regulations.

Responsibilities include meeting regulatory guidelines, operating maintenance equipment, maintaining confidentiality, and supporting Foster Care Programs. Evening/weekend shifts may be required, with emphasis on safety and ethical conduct.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certifications: First aid, CPR, Emergency behavior intervention.
• Experience: 2+ years in janitorial or maintenance with knowledge of chemicals and safe cleaning.
• Pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens during employment.
• Criminal background checks: Pre-employment and biennial.

Responsibilities

• Meet federal and state regulatory guidelines and standards applicable to this position.
• Maintain safe and sanitized conditions in buildings and equipment, meeting licensing and policy requirements.
• Operate maintenance equipment and report any malfunctioning equipment immediately.
• Participate in scheduled meetings, team decisions, and operations.
• Implement safety protocols, including evacuating with children and staff in emergencies.
• Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality in all areas of child and program operations.
• Demonstrate professional and ethical standards of conduct, including dress code adherence.
• Clean, sanitize, and maintain buildings and equipment per policies and regulations.
• Report unsafe conditions and suggest solutions.
• Meet deadlines required by program and federal partners.
• Frequently traverse campus areas and move equipment up to 100 pounds.
• Foster Care Programs – support, encourage, and recruit foster parents as part of related responsibilities.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Meet all federal and state regulatory guidelines and standards applicable to this position.
• Maintain safe and sanitized conditions in agency buildings and equipment, meeting or exceeding licensing and policy requirements.
• Operate maintenance equipment and report any malfunctioning equipment immediately.
• Participate in scheduled meetings, team decisions, and operations.
• Implement Compass Connections safety protocols, including evacuating with children and other staff in case of an emergency.
• Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed and as requested by the supervisor.
• Maintain confidentiality in all areas of child and program operations.
• Demonstrate Compass Connections professional and ethical standards of conduct, including dress code adherence and respectful interaction with staff, children, and community members.
• Clean, sanitize, and maintain buildings and equipment per agency policies and procedures and applicable rules and regulations.
• Report unsafe conditions to supervisory staff and suggest possible solutions.
• Meet pre-determined deadlines required by program and federal partners.
• Frequently traverse campus areas and move equipment weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Foster Care Programs – support, encourage, and recruit foster parents as part of related responsibilities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certifications: First aid, CPR, Emergency behavior intervention.
• Experience: Required – two (2) or more years in janitorial or maintenance with knowledge of chemicals, reactions, and safe use of cleaning supplies and equipment. Preferred – three (3) or more years of related experience and/or training.
• Pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens during employment.
• Provide proof of work eligibility upon request.
• Criminal background checks: Pre-employment and biennial.
• Demonstrated ability to:
