Job summary

Bergen Logistics in Rutherford, NJ is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep the facility, equipment, and mechanical systems in safe and reliable operating condition while supporting warehouse operations. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, follow Lockout/Tagout and PPE requirements, inspect machinery and infrastructure, and repair conveyors and GOH monorails.

You will also assist with facility projects and daily warehouse tasks.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in maintenance, warehouse, or construction preferred.
• Able to lift 10-50 lbs regularly and more with team support.
• Willing to work overtime, nights, holidays, or weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Follow LOTO and PPE procedures and facility guidelines.
• Inspect facility systems and equipment for repairs and safety concerns.
• Build, install, modify, and repair office furniture, fixtures, partitions, and gates.
• Perform repairs on conveyors, GOH monorails, motors and related equipment.
• Maintain tools and components to keep systems in safe condition.
• Respond promptly to maintenance issues affecting safety or operations.
• Collect and dispose of waste in designated containers and follow cleaning protocols.
• Support warehouse operations with janitorial tasks, loading/unloading, and material moving.
• Work independently under supervision using standardized maintenance practices.
