Genesis HealthCare, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to keep the nursing center and grounds clean, safe, and orderly, ensuring a pleasing appearance.

You will perform repairs on handrails, HVAC, and equipment, assist with supplies, and may assume supervisor duties in absence of the supervisor. High school diploma or equivalent and basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing and carpentry are required. Benefits include health, dental, vision, 401K, paid time off, and more.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent and basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing and carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance Assistant completes a variety of tasks to maintain the nursing center and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly condition along with a pleasing appearance.
• Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geri-chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers
• Changes filters on HVAC equipment
• Carries, lifts and stocks supplies
• Assume Maintenance supervisor's responsibilities in his/her absence
