Job summary

Genesis HealthCare, Inc. in Martinsburg, West Virginia, is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to keep the nursing center and grounds clean, safe, and orderly, ensuring a pleasing appearance for residents and staff.

You will perform repairs, change HVAC filters, carry and stock supplies, and may assume Maintenance supervisor duties in their absence. The role requires a high school diploma and basic wiring, plumbing, and carpentry knowledge.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic wiring, plumbing and carpentry knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geri-chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers.
• Changes filters on HVAC equipment.
• Carries, lifts and stocks supplies.
• Assume Maintenance supervisor's responsibilities in his/her absence.
