Job summary

Genesis HealthCare, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help keep our nursing centers clean, safe, and well-presented. You will perform a variety of maintenance tasks, including minor repairs to building components and equipment, HVAC filter changes, and stocking supplies.

You may assume supervisor duties when the supervisor is absent. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing, and carpentry.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent and basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing and carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance tasks to keep the nursing center and grounds clean, safe, and orderly with a pleasing appearance.
• Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geriatric chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers.
• Change filters on HVAC equipment.
• Carry, lift and stock supplies.
• Assist as Maintenance supervisor in their absence.
