Job summary

The Samaritan Inn is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee daily upkeep for its facilities, grounds, and fleet. The role involves hands-on repairs, landscaping, and assisting with donations and vehicle logistics to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of experience in general maintenance.
• Working knowledge of basic repair methods in plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, and carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs across facilities (shelter, thrift store, Gateway Apartments).
• Maintain exterior grounds, including mowing and landscaping.
• Respond to maintenance emergencies promptly and assist long-term planning.
• Coordinate with staff, volunteers, and vendors to keep environments safe and welcoming.
• Assist in managing vehicle fleet and transporting items as needed.
• Support donation logistics and bin organization.
