Job summary

Oaklawn in Mishawaka is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our facilities safe and reliable. You will handle electrical, plumbing, and basic construction tasks, perform troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on equipment and buildings, and assist with seasonal groundskeeping and snow removal.

You will work closely with Oaklawn staff and vendors, read and interpret technical information, and communicate effectively with colleagues and the local business community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 5 years of maintenance experience if no diploma is required.

Responsibilities

• Electrical, plumbing, and basic construction maintenance and repairs.
• Preventative maintenance of equipment, buildings, and facilities.
• Seasonal landscaping, groundskeeping and snow removal.
• Interact with Oaklawn personnel and external vendors/service providers.
• Read, analyze and interpret technical/medical/legal information.
• communicate effectively with individuals and groups.
