Bremerton School District 100-C is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform skilled maintenance on District property and related systems. The role involves working independently under supervision, with duties spanning carpentry, plumbing, electrical, electronic, HVAC, and locksmithing tasks.
Candidates should have troubleshooting experience, good communication, and the ability to manage workload while meeting deadlines.
This position is 8 hours a day for 260 days per year.
The District is specifically seeking candidates with experience in key and lock systems, locksmithing, and building alarm/security panels. Relevant hands-on experience troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and servicing these systems is highly desirable.
Work independently to perform skilled maintenance as directed to District property by the supervisor or designee.May be required to install, construct, or build items for the District.When not performing general maintenance duties, the MT (Maintenance Technician) performs routine tasks working in a variety of trades, including but not limited to painting, plumbing, carpentry, electronic, HVAC and locksmithing.
Possess a high school diploma or G.E.D.
Evidence of successful experience in troubleshooting and conducting general maintenance.
Skills and resourcefulness in assessing and accomplishing tasks.
Possess skills in prioritizing workload and get tasks completed in timely fashion.
Be willing to be trained to perform duties as may be requested and/or required.
Successful experience desired in carpentry, plumbing, painting, welding, HVAC, and controls.
Evidence of effective communication and interpersonal skills, and skills in working well with others.
Must have above-average record of attendance, punctuality, and reliability at work.
Possess a valid Washington State driver’s license.
Must be able to lift a maximum of fifty (50) pounds (WAC-296.126.096).
Must have neat and clean appearance upon arrival to work.
