Job summary

APEL Extrusions, Inc. is an independent extruder, finisher and fabricator of aluminum extrusions, with six extrusion presses and finishing capabilities.

The Maintenance Technician troubleshoots and repairs machinery quickly to maximize production time, with day or night 10-hour shifts and a strong safety focus. The role requires knowledge of hydraulic/pneumatic valves, pumps, cylinders and schematics, reading blueprints, and CMMS familiarity, with a commitment to safety and the ability to work

Qualifications

• High School Degree or equivalent.
• 5+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Ability to safely work in confined spaces, at elevated heights, and around chemicals.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Preferred - Millwright Certification, Electrical experience.
• Preferred - CMMS familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Work on various projects involving fabrication, rebuilding parts, and inspecting machinery.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Help other maintenance and operational personnel as needed.
• Operate a forklift and man lift.
• Plumb air, oil, grease and water lines.
• Troubleshoot hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Work independently and as a team.
• Strictly follow all safety rules and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
