Brief Description

The Maintenance Technician performs the preventive and reactive maintenance duties required for the manufacturing operations of the plant. Priorities include execution of PM schedules and repair of any equipment needed to maintain maximum production rates. This position requires flexibility to work 40+ hours per week, weekends as required, and on‑call duties for repairs.

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Practice proper PPE compliance, maintain a safe working record and environment
• Immediately communicate unsafe conditions, acts or injuries to Maintenance Manager or Plant Manager
• Practice proper forklift operation
• Maintain facility housekeeping
• Maintain and build job skills through company training programs
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment not operating properly
• Ensure all equipment is kept in a proper and safe working condition
• Direct and ensure all scheduled preventive maintenance duties are completed timely
• Communicate with all plant and support staff
• Understand and practice PLP core values

Job Skills

• Advanced industrial mechanical, electrical, plumbing, hydraulic and pneumatic skills, including troubleshooting
• Understanding of PLP manufacturing process, including troubleshooting
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with and communicate to other plant personnel

Education Requirements
