Cheney Brothers, Inc. is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to perform complex building repairs and support preventive maintenance programs at our facility in Florida. The role requires carpentry, electrical, and plumbing skills and a two-year background in these trades.

Ideal candidates will have strong communication abilities, be able to document data, and lift up to 75 lbs. This on-site position offers growth opportunities in a essential food distribution operation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of two years in carpentry, electrical, and plumbing.
• Experience in maintenance or operations.
• Strong communication skills to interact with internal customers and external vendors.
• Ability to push, pull and lift 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Performs a wide variety of repairs throughout the facility including plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry.
• Ensures proper upkeep and preventative maintenance of all buildings, materials, and systems.
• Records data from main electrical panels on a quarterly basis.
• Inspects equipment and building areas, including air compressors, roofs, sprinkler systems; records data from inspections.
• Provides support with conference room setup for meetings, caterings, and events.
• Maintains positive interactions with associates at all levels and provides outstanding service and support.
