Job summary

Gordon Incorporated is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance on equipment and facilities. You will handle plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and other building systems under supervision.

Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, troubleshooting issues, planning repairs from blueprints or manuals, performing routine maintenance, and maintaining a safe, clean work environment following company standards.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of safe operation of common maintenance tools.
• Good communication, both verbal and written.
• Ability to follow directions from supervisor.
• Ability to use measuring tools and perform basic calculations.
• Strong organization and time-management skills.
• Must have a clean driving record.

• Understands and follows Job Safety Analysis for this position.
• Wears eye protection and PPE as designated.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

This is an entry level position.

Duties / Responsibilities

• Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.
• Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs.
• Plans repair work using building’s blueprints or equipment manual as needed.
• Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Example: repair drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures.
• Performs routine maintenance on building systems.
• Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities.
• Operates all necessary tools to complete a job.
• Ensures tools and equipment are properly cleaned, stored, and maintained for optimum performance and safety.
• Commitment to Safety and Maintaining a Safe Work Environment.
• Maintain a clean work environment in compliance with Company standards.
• Understands and follows Job Safety Analysis for this position.
• Wears eye protection and any other designated PPE.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
