Job summary

Hunter Douglas is seeking a maintenance technician to perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on production equipment. You will assist in building equipment from blueprints and schematics, and help keep lines running efficiently.

The ideal candidate has technical trade school background with hands-on maintenance experience, strong electrical knowledge, and ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• Two years technical trade school and four years practical experience, or six years practical experience in maintenance.
• Experience wiring electrical/mechanical equipment.
• Knowledge of electrical circuits and 24-volt systems.
• Ability to read mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Know-how of NEC basics and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Respond to written work orders detailing electrical and/or mechanical problems on production equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment to return it to service quickly.
• Perform preventative maintenance as scheduled with the team.
• Assist engineers in building new production equipment from blueprints/schematics.
• Write/revise preventive maintenance procedures for equipment.
