Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Sicherheitstechnik GmbH in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Maintenance Technician responsible for installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery, electrical systems, and plant facilities. You will use machine tools, welders, and hydraulic/pneumatic equipment; perform inspections, on-call repairs, and collaboration with engineering and operations to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a three- to five-year apprenticeship program through an employer or trade union is a plus.
• Degree or certificate in a maintenance or technical field from a trade, technical school, or community college is a plus.
• Requires 3-5 years of related maintenance experience.
• Practical experience with manufacturing, assembly, and welding equipment.
• Practical experience and working knowledge of Preventive Maintenance systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair electrical apparatus and components.
• Set up and operate machine tools to repair or fabricate parts.
• Install, program, or repair automated machinery and equipment such as robots or programmable controllers.
• Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify issues.
• Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure uptime and safety.
• Repair and maintain pipe systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Operate welding equipment to join metal parts.
• Fabricate and repair counters, benches, partitions, and other structures.
• Participate in development and implementation of preventative maintenance procedures.
