Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Fort Worth, TX to install, maintain, and repair machinery, electrical systems, piping, and structural components onsite. You will inspect equipment, troubleshoot issues, and perform preventive maintenance while following safety protocols and on-call requirements.

The role requires 3–5 years of maintenance experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and preferably an apprenticeship or technical training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years of related maintenance experience.
• Apprenticeship completion is a plus.
• Practical experience with manufacturing, assembly, and welding equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair electrical apparatus, transformers, wiring, and components.
• Set up machine tools to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, and fixtures.
• Install, program, or repair automated machinery and equipment such as robots or PLCs.
• Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify issues and perform tests.
• Repair or dismantle faulty equipment and install parts.
• Perform lubrication and maintenance on shafts, bearings, gears, and related parts.
• Maintain pipe systems and hydraulic/pneumatic equipment; replace gauges and valves.
• Fabricate and repair wooden structures and fixtures as needed.
• Participate in preventative maintenance procedures and scheduling repairs.
• Work on high elevations and in confined spaces; adhere to safety systems.

Maintenance Technician# Maintenance TechnicianThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for conducting installation, general maintenance, and repair of machinery, equipment, physical structures, and piping and electrical systems. This role oversees periodic and preventative maintenance of equipment and troubleshoots common issues.Essential Functions:* Install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.* Set up and operate machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools.* Install, program, or repair automated machinery and equipment such as robots or programmable controllers.* Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify any issues. Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.* Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.* Repair faulty equipment or dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts.* Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.* Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.* Repair and maintain physical structure of establishment.* Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.* Fabricate and repair counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures.* Participate in development and implementation of preventative maintenance procedures.* Conduct periodic quality checks on equipment and systems as well as schedule repairs to ensure everything is up to standard.* Must be comfortable working at high elevations using multiple forms of working platforms. (Ladders, scissor lifts, boom lifts, etc.)* Must be comfortable working in tight or confined spaces.* Must be comfortable working in non-climate-controlled environments.* Must be able to wear full PPE depending on the task to include steel toe boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, fall harness, and sometimes heavy arc-flash or respiratory gear.* Must have a clear understanding of maintenance safety systems. (LOTO, JHA, Energized Work Permit, etc.)* Must understand and be available for on call.Education and Experience:* High School Diploma or equivalent required.* Completion of a three- to five-year apprenticeship program through an employer or trade union is a plus.* Degree or certificate in a maintenance or technical field from a trade, technical school, or community college is a plus.* Requires 3-5 years of related maintenance (i.e., electrical and mechanical) experience.* Practical experience with manufacturing, assembly, and welding equipment.* Practical experience and working knowledge of Preventive Maintenance systems preferred.**We are the ASSA ABLOY Group** Our people have made us the global leader in access solutions.
