Job summary

Galloway Consolidated Holdings, Inc. is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician - Electrical for our Illinois operations.

The role focuses on Installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of production equipment and facility systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ideal candidates will have 3–5 years of hands-on industrial maintenance, working knowledge of electrical control systems, and familiarity with CMMS and safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of three to five years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience troubleshooting industrial electrical and control systems.
  • Experience in the flexible packaging or blown film industries is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work safely on ladders, lifts, and elevated work platforms.
  • Availability to respond to on-call maintenance needs and occasional weekend work.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety practices.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical control systems at the component level.
  • Diagnose and maintain automated industrial machinery, including motors, servos, pumps, drives, relays, three-phase power systems, communication devices, and electronic controls.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot AC and DC drives.
  • Perform PLC and electronic control system troubleshooting.
  • Utilize electrical testing equipment to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
  • Install and troubleshoot basic three-phase motor control circuits.
  • Maintain and repair air-operated and electric pump systems.
  • Understand and troubleshoot various sensors, switches, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and parts lists.
  • Maintain and repair power transmission systems, bearings, and related equipment.
  • Perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance on production and facility assets.
  • Conduct equipment calibrations and verify operational performance.
  • Install new equipment and implement modifications to existing machinery.
  • Safely use hand tools, power tools, shop equipment, and diagnostic instruments.
  • Collaborate effectively in a team environment while also working independently when required.
  • Adhere to all company policies, safety regulations, and operating procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician - Electrical is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance activities, including the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of production equipment and facility systems. Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Basic welding experience is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
