Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician C to perform preventive maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks in our Oregon fleet. Under supervision, you will support drivers and help keep our highly technical vehicles on the road.

You will develop skills with new technologies, manage basic repairs, and follow procedures while contributing to a stable, growth-oriented team. Republic offers comprehensive benefits and a strong community focus.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of vehicle systems to perform routine maintenance and repair.
• 1–3 years of experience in maintenance or field service.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures and troubleshoot common faults.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a basic knowledge of a vehicle’s mechanical and electrical systems for preventive maintenance and light repairs.
• Perform oil changes, fluid replenishment, tire changes, and basic electrical work as needed.
• Complete required company training programs and perform other duties as assigned.
