Steel and Pipe Supply Company Inc is seeking a Maintenance Technician for 1st shift in Longview, TX. You will maintain and repair facility equipment, follow safety policies, and keep detailed records in SAP PM.

The role requires reading prints, electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic knowledge, and strong communication skills; OSHA guidelines compliance is essential. On-site with physical work in a yard/warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three years of related maintenance experience preferred.
• Detail oriented with excellent observational skills.
• Ability to read and understand prints, documents, and drawings.
• Knowledge of electricity (11, 230, and 460 voltage), hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanics.
• Basic computer skills (data entry and equipment research).
• Valid driver’s license and good verbal/written communications skills.
• Safety Orientation and teamwork mindset.
• Continuous improvement/quality management exposure.
• Technical or equivalent training or experience.

Responsabilités

• Attend all schedule safety, department, and company meetings as required.
• Follow and enforce company safety policies and safe work practices at all times.
• Repair, service and inspect facility equipment and property (production machinery, building/components, ground operated machinery).
• Research OEM maintenance specifications and adhere to them; deviations require Operations Manager approval.
• Maintain detailed maintenance records in SAP PM; keep shop organized and clean.
• Comply with OSHA guidelines (Lock out/Tag out; Safety Data Sheets).
• Train and coach new maintenance personnel.
• Procure parts and supplies to ensure equipment uptime; report department expenses within budget.
