Job summary

Purity Dairies in Nashville is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep production, processing, and packaging equipment operating safely and efficiently. The role requires hands-on maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, mechanical aptitude, and familiarity with PLC/HMI controls.

The day shift runs from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm with rotating days; the successful candidate will work with a team to minimize downtime and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade/technical school preferred in electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, or related fields.
• 2–4 years in maintenance, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, or PLC-related roles in manufacturing.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, service manuals, and work orders; document repairs clearly.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, planned, and unplanned maintenance on production, processing, and packaging equipment and utility systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and control-related issues (PLC/HMI); assist with new equipment installations.
• Maintain safety, GMP, and documentation standards; communicate effectively with other departments.
