Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. is seeking a maintenance technician to perform planned and unplanned repairs on production, processing, and packaging equipment. You will handle electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems while following GMP and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Trade school or technical training preferred in electrical, PLC/HMI, mechanical, welding/fabrication, refrigeration, plumbing, etc.
• 2–4 years of maintenance/electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic/electronic equipment experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems preferred.
• Certification and/or license may be required during employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and/or repairs on production, processing, and packaging equipment and related utility systems.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and routine inspections to assess reliability.
• Read and interpret technical procedures, schematics, and work orders for maintenance tasks.
• Assist in installing new equipment and training operators to minimize downtime.
• Complete work orders timely with high quality, using measured safety practices.
• Document repairs and maintain SOP-compliant records; ensure proper paperwork.
