Job summary

PGI is seeking a maintenance technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing and facility equipment in Hebron, KY. The role requires interpreting drawings and specifications, diagnosing issues, and performing preventive maintenance to meet safety and quality standards.

Shift options include 1st and 2nd shifts, with hours spanning 7:00am–3:30pm or 3:30pm–12:00am, Monday through Friday. Candidates should have mechanical or electrical troubleshooting experience and be capable of

• Broad knowledge of various trade fundamentals with specialized skills in either electrical or mechanical areas.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment such as conveyors, presses, and PLCs.
• Strong communication to train less-proficient colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings, manuals, wiring diagrams, and specifications to guide maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair production machinery; prevent downtime and ensure safety and quality.
• Perform preventive maintenance on machines to keep production within targets.
• Schedule downtime for repairs and may relocate or install equipment as needed.
• Maintain tools and work areas; promote teamwork and continuous improvement.

POSITION SUMMARY

Troubleshoot,repairandmaintainmanufacturing and facility equipment/machinery in efficient, safe operatingcondition.Provide guidance and supportregardingequipment operation to team membersin order tofacilitatethe achievement of scheduled production volume within acceptable safety,qualityand scrap levels. May perform other duties as assigned.

1st shift works Monday-Friday 7:00am – 3:30p,

2nd Shift works Monday-Friday 3:30pm-12:00am

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Interprets drawings, operation manuals, wiring diagrams, electricalschematicsand/or manufacturer’s specifications.
• Diagnoses problems with production machinery and equipment anddetermineshow to correct them.Troubleshoots, repairs, andmaintainsall types of machines and equipment, including conveyors,presses, programmable logic controllers, and electrical/electronic circuitry.
• Keeps machinery and equipment in efficient, safe operatingconditionin order tomaintain quality and production standards.
• Performs total predictive maintenance and preventative maintenance to ensure machines and systems run smoothly and efficiently.
• Schedulesand performs machineteardownto make repairs and modifications.May dismantle, move,installand erect equipment.
• Mayoperatevarious typesof equipment related to maintenance functions, such as forklift, welders, and cutting torches.
• Promotes teamwork and contributes to team efforts by communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.Keeps supervision informed of any problems associated with maintenanceactivities, andtakes action to providesupport for resolution of problems and continuous improvement.Aids in training employees in maintenance-related duties.
• Performs general housekeeping tasks and keeps work area clean,organizedand free of scrap, debris, etc.

Qualifications: EDUCATION

• Broad knowledge of various trade fundamentals, with specialized trade skills in either the electrical or mechanical area.
• Education and/or experience equivalent to 3-5yearsapplied training in mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting and repair of industrial equipment/machinery.For positions with electrical emphasis, education and/or experience with electrical troubleshooting and repair of 3-phase,480 voltequipment and programmable logic controllers or comparable equipment.
• Basic communication skills to receive and convey information concerning problemsencounteredwhile performing job duties and to train employees with lessproficiency.
• Hand/eye coordination to usehand toolsandtooperatevarious gauges and measuring devices.
• Stand, squat,kneeland bend forlong periodsof time regularly.Move between variouswork stationsfrequently.
• Push/pull and reach with hands and arms frequently.Flexibility to safely positionbodyin unique positions.
• Lift/push/pull up to 30 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs.frequently.
• Work in an industrial environment withexposure to noise,possible temperatureextremes, dirt, solvents, paper dust, etc.
