Job summary

Lignetics, Inc. in White Pigeon, MI is seeking a Maintenance Technician for day and graveyard shifts. You will diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and support outage planning.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1–5 years of industrial maintenance experience, pneumatic/hydraulic knowledge, and strong English communication; ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work varied shifts is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required with vocational training highly preferred.
• 1–5 years mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills in an industrial work setting.
• Pneumatic & basic hydraulic knowledge preferred.
• Ability to understand and react to verbal safety commands, alarms, and hazard alerts in English in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficient in English to read, interpret, and execute LOTO protocols and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose issues with malfunctioning mechanical/electrical equipment and complete required repairs.
• Perform minor building plumbing, electrical and painting repairs as needed.
• Execute preventive maintenance procedures and assist maintenance lead/manager in outage planning.
• Other accountabilities as required.

About this position

Maintenance Technician

Job Type: Full time

Shift Schedule:M-F, 6p - 4a - OT and M-F, 6a - 4p, 10 hrs OT

Salary: $29 - $33/hour

** Pre-employment background check and drug screen required.

Maintenance Technician Equipment Diagnosis and Repair

• Diagnose issues with malfunctioning mechanical/electrical equipment and complete required repairs
• Perform minor building plumbing, electrical and painting repairs as needed
• Execute preventive maintenance procedures and assist maintenance lead/manager in outage planning
• Other accountabilities as required

Maintenance Technician Job Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required with vocational training highly preferred
• One to five years mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills in an industrial work setting.
• Pneumatic & basic hydraulic knowledge preferred
• Ability to immediately understand and react to verbal safety commands, audio alarms, and written hazard alerts in English in a Manufacturing setting.
• Proficient in English to accurately read, interpret, and execute equipment lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) protocols and machine operation manuals.
• Sufficient English verbal skills to clearly and instantly report machine malfunctions, near-misses, or unsafe floor conditions to supervisors and team members.
• This role operates in the immediate vicinity of fast-moving, heavy automated equipment. Clear, real-time communication and strict adherence to English-language safety signage are mandatory for workplace safety.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and follow specified procedures
• Will need to be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs unassisted
• Ability to work all shifts and call ins if needed
