Job summary

Abington Manor in Clarks Summit, PA is hiring a full-time Maintenance Assistant. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least two years in a maintenance function within a health-related facility.

A valid driver’s license and ability to use hand tools and safety equipment are essential. Responsibilities include responding to work orders, performing repairs across HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance, and assisting residents with issues

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of two years experience in a maintenance department in a health-related facility.
• Knowledge of maintenance practices in nursing care facilities.

Responsibilities

• Receive and complete repairs from written work orders and verbal instructions.
• Diagnose and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and related systems.
• Promote safe work practices and comply with company policies and safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and building codes.
• Assist residents and staff to resolve issues and may supervise external contractors.
• Operate snow removal equipment and perform other duties as assigned.
