Job summary

Alstom in Willowbrook is seeking a Maintenance Team Leader to oversee the maintenance of commuter coaches and locomotives, schedule work, assign staff, and ensure repairs meet safety and efficiency standards.

You will collaborate with Equipment Maintainers, Electrical and Mechanical Technicians, and use Maximo/Kronos for work orders and timekeeping. Strong leadership and maintenance process knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education preferred; minimum Grade 12 required.
  • Experience managing maintenance teams.
  • Knowledge of commuter coach and locomotive repair and maintenance processes.
  • Familiarity with Maximo and Kronos/Kronos timekeeping systems.
  • A completed apprenticeship is an asset.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Review workloads and assign staff to complete repairs, maintenance, and inspections in a timely fashion.
  • Monitor equipment servicing and repairs by auditing staff and completed tasks.
  • Ensure appropriate materials are on-site to expedite repairs.
  • Plan work schedules and assignments to ensure compliance with maintenance guidelines.
  • Monitor work orders using Maximo and manage employee timekeeping with UKG.
  • Lead and support your team to achieve operational excellence.

Could you be the full-time Maintenance Team Leader in Willowbrook we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your maintenance and leadership expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside a collaborative and dedicated team of professionals.You'll play a key role in ensuring our commuter coaches and locomotives are ready to provide reliable, safe, and efficient service. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (including Equipment Maintainers, Electrical and Mechanical Technicians), plan and organize work schedules, and ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and within maintenance guidelines.You’ll specifically take care of assigning staff to trip, brake tests, and servicing equipment for revenue train service, but also oversee the timely repair and maintenance processes.

We’ll look to you for:

Compensation

The expected compensation for this role is $80,000 to $90,000, based on experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
