Job summary

BoMac Contractors, Ltd. is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to perform routine maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting on building systems in New Orleans, LA.

You will help keep facilities safe, efficient and compliant with codes and company standards. The role involves preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building structures, plus documentation, safety adherence, and collaboration with external contractors.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or trade certification preferred.
  • 2–4 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a commercial, residential, or industrial setting.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems (MEP).
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC, lighting, and small appliances or motors.
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools, diagnostic tools, and building automation systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety procedures.
  • Basic computer literacy for entering service records or using maintenance software.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required.
  • EPA 608 or other relevant certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Monitor and report on inventory of maintenance supplies and tools.
  • Collaborate with outside contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or inspections.

Job description
