Job summary

EMBREY, a San Antonio-based real estate investment company, seeks a Maintenance Technician to support Cooper's Row communities. You will assist in maintaining buildings and amenity areas, supervise by the Maintenance Supervisor, and meet residents' needs with a focus on safety and quality.

The role requires 1 year of maintenance experience in property management, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to be on-call. Competitive pay plus healthcare, 401(k), and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• One year of maintenance experience in property management or related field.
• Ability to be available for on-call 24 hours, seven days a week.
• Valid Driver’s License required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Safety Manual requirements.
• Assist in preventative maintenance, safety, and housekeeping practices.
• Inspect property, buildings, and equipment to keep them in safe, attractive condition.
• Assist with unit make-readies, service requests, and general maintenance tasks.
• Ensure grounds, buildings, and units are functional and safe; inspect regularly.
• Perform minor repairs on appliances, floors, walls, cabinets, doors, and fixtures.
• Follow safety procedures and wear protective clothing.
• Maintain inventories of supplies, tools, and equipment.
• Assist with resident maintenance requests and other property-related tasks.
• Respond to requests in a timely manner.
• Clean grounds around office and pool area daily.
• Periodically inventory supplies and manage move-out documentation.
• Report safety hazards and correct them promptly.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the maintenance and repairs of the buildings and ancillary/amenity areas, along with assisting the Maintenance Supervisor in the operations of the Maintenance Department and meeting the needs of our residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Adhere strictly to the requirements of the Safety Manual
• Assist in implementing preventative maintenance, safety, and good housekeeping practices
• Inspect and maintain the property, buildings, and equipment in an attractive, clean, and safe condition at all times in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Assist in organizing, prioritizing, and completing unit make-readies, service requests, and general maintenance tasks according to company standards in a timely manner
• Assist in ensuring that the grounds, buildings, and units are fully functional, safe, and attractive. Inspect grounds, buildings, and units on a regular basis
• Perform minor repairs on appliances, floors, walls, cabinets, doors, and fixtures in units
• Follow all safety procedures, including wearing safety and protective clothing
• Assist in maintaining inventories of supplies, tools, and equipment needed for maintenance and repairs
• Assist with minor resident maintenance requests
• Perform other property-related tasks assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Community Manager in the operation of the property
• Maintain all maintenance responsibilities as assigned
• Complete other tasks and/or projects as needed
• Respond to requests in a timely manner
• Clean grounds at the exterior of the office and pool area according to company standards daily
• Periodically conduct an inventory of supplies
• Ensure move-out documentation is approved and signed
• Report any safety hazards found and correct them on a timely basis

Qualifications

• One year of maintenance experience in property management or related field
• Possession of minimum tools required
• Ability to be available“oncall”24hours,seven days a week
• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
• Valid Driver’s License
