Job summary

Allentown Parking Authority seeks a Maintenance Technician to support indoor and outdoor spaces, reporting to the Facilities Manager. This Essential Employee role offers 3:00PM–11:30PM hours with Mon-Fri and rotating weekends, handling inspections, repairs, and upkeep of decks, lots, and landscaping.

The position emphasizes safety, community service, and reliable customer service. Training and growth opportunities are provided in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record per insurer requirements.
• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician.
• Strong problem solving and independent work skills.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and push 100 lbs.
• Operate a motor vehicle in all weather conditions.
• Available for snowstorms with up to 16 hours of labor-intensive work.
• Essential Employee who reports to work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on building systems.
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues promptly with minimal disruption to operations.
• Carry out general repairs including painting, carpentry, plumbing, and minor vehicle maintenance.
• Provide routine maintenance and cleaning to decks, lots, and facilities.
• Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and tools.
• Ensure safety regulations and company policies are followed.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly while coordinating with the team.
• Maintain lawns and landscaping and safely operate related equipment.
