Job summary

Allentown Parking Authority is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on building systems and navigate general repairs to keep decks, garages, and facilities in top condition. The role emphasizes safety, customer service, and maintaining accessible parking spaces for the community.

The Technician reports to the Manager/Supervisor of Facilities and will work outdoors in all weather conditions during snow events, with a strong

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record per insurer requirements.
• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and push 100 lbs.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on building systems.
• Troubleshoot and address maintenance issues promptly to minimize disruption.
• Conduct general repairs such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, and minor vehicle maintenance.
• Provide routine maintenance and cleaning to decks, lots, and facilities.
• Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and tools and ensure safety compliance.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner.
