Job summary

Quarterhill Inc. is seeking Maintenance Technicians to proactively maintain and repair tolling equipment, with a 24/7 on-call rotation. The role is based in Brighton, CO and involves field service for video, RFID, sensors, and network systems.

Responsibilities include remote and on-site monitoring, routine preventive maintenance, and supporting a client-focused Operations Manager. Outdoor work and weather exposure are expected, with safety certifications possibly required.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Electronics and/or equivalent job experience.
• Military training in electronics is considered an asset.
• Combination of training and job-related experience.

• Perform maintenance, installation, configuration support and troubleshooting for tolling equipment.
• Deliver preventive maintenance and repairs, both on-site and remotely.
• Monitor system performance and ensure operation within specifications.
• Support on-call rotation and after-hours service for clients.
• Complete routine maintenance and assist the Operations Project Manager as needed.

Job description

Overview

Our Maintenance Technicians serve as a member of the roadside maintenance organization. You will proactively deliver preventive maintenance and failure repairs on tolling equipment, safely and responsibly. This position will require a 24/7 on call rotation. Our field office is located in Brighton, CO.

Responsibilities

Maintenance/Installation, Configuration Support and Troubleshooting for:

• Linux and Windows based PCs
• Video cameras, lighting, and controllers for image collection systems
• Radio Frequency System (RFID) readers
• Vehicle Sensors such as Inductive Loops, Treadles, Optical Separators, etc.
• Local and Wide Area Network equipment

Monitoring and Performance

• Monitor system performance both on-site and remotely.
• Ensure systems performance is maintained within specifications.
• Optimize performance within system specifications.

Service Agreements

• Provide responsive field and/or remote service for all assigned equipment.
• Work a rotation on-call schedule to ensure after-hours support.
• Complete routine preventative maintenance on all equipment.
• Support the Operations Project Manager in meeting the needs of the client.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

Work Environment

• Required to work outdoors in all weather conditions, sometimes extreme.
• Successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Record and background checks, as required.
• Work at heights up to 40 ft utilizing bucket trucks, ladders, or other means.
• OSHA Certifications may be required.

Hourly Rate: $27.00/hr - $33.00/hr
