Job summary

ARCH Cutting Tools in Flushing, MI is seeking a Maintenance technician to provide day-to-day maintenance support for the manufacturing facility. You will coordinate maintenance priorities, install, troubleshoot, and repair CNC and manual machinery to maximize uptime.

The role requires reading electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic schematics, and using diagnostic tools. Strong safety awareness and the ability to work flexibly, including after-hours support when needed, are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant maintenance experience in manufacturing or tool and die shop environment.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Able to read and use electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics and manuals.
• Strong collaboration and communication across all levels and with vendors.
• Self-starter, able to manage multiple projects and prioritize machine uptime.

Responsibilities

• Maintain organization of the maintenance department and respond to repair requests promptly.
• Establish and execute preventive maintenance schedules on CNC equipment, air compressors, forklifts, and more.
• Coordinate with vendors for machine repair, installation, and improvements.
• Maintain preventive maintenance records, repair histories, and equipment manuals.
• Schedule repair services and monitor critical spare parts and inventory needs.
• Operate forks and other equipment and comply with safety policies.
