Job summary

Zoetis is seeking a detail-focused maintenance technician to train in and perform maintenance on industrial boilers, chillers, and related systems in a clean, fast-paced facility. You will learn, diagnose, order parts, and perform repairs under supervision while growing into an expert.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and technical aptitude; preferred are an associate degree in electro-mechanical fields, Boiler Operator license, and EPA 608 certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnose problems, order parts, and make repairs.

• Plan and execute PMs, repairs, and updates to equipment to maintain peak efficiency.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to diagnose and correct issues as they arise.
• Grow skills through internal training and promotion programs.

Hours: 1st Shift, 7:00am - 3:30pm (typical). Overtime, weekend, and holidays may be required.

Education and Experience

You will need to have:

• Highschool diploma or GED required.
• Technical aptitude

Even Better if you have:

• Associate degree in a technical field such as Electro-Mechanical
• Relevant experience in Pharmaceutical or Food manufacturing
• Boiler Operator License
• EPA 608 Refrigerant Certification

Technical Skills and Competencies Required

• Experience maintaining and operating industrial boilers, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, or similar mechanical utility systems.
• Training or education in industrial maintenance, mechanical systems, utilities operations, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of steam generation, distribution systems, and refrigeration principles.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Position Requirements

• SAFELY work in an industrial environment using approved procedures, i.e., Lockout/tagout, confined space, line break, right to know, PPE, etc,
• Have experience in the use of hand and power tools…it is Maintenance after all.
• Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.…never more.
• Work in areas that may be hot, cold, stinky, noisy, ultra-clean, or require additional PPE. May be exposed to temperature variations, prolonged standing, or walking.
• Valid drivers' license may be required.
