Job summary

Zoetis, Inc. seeks a detail-focused maintenance technician for the 1st shift at our Lincoln, NE site. Under supervision, you will train in and perform preventative maintenance, diagnose problems, order parts, and make repairs to industrial equipment.

You will plan PMs, perform repairs across electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and utility areas, and collaborate with multiple teams to drive permanent fixes. Growth through internal training and promotion is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical aptitude required.
• Associate degree in Electro-Mechanical or technical field preferred.
• Boiler Operator License and EPA 608 Certification advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Own area equipment and take responsibility for learning and expert growth.
• Perform assigned work in area of responsibility (electrical, mechanical, plumbing, utilities, metal fabrication).
• Plan and execute PMs, repairs, and updates to equipment to maintain peak efficiency.
• Diagnose and correct issues; work cross-functionally with multiple teams.
• Grow through internal training and promotion program and learn new technologies.

Hours: 1st Shift, 7:00am - 3:30pm (typical). Overtime, weekend, and holidays may be required.

Education and Experience

You will need to have:

• Highschool diploma or GED required.
• Technical aptitude

Even Better if you have:

• Associate degree in a technical field such as Electro-Mechanical
• Relevant experience in Pharmaceutical or Food manufacturing
• Boiler Operator License
• EPA 608 Refrigerant Certification

Technical Skills and Competencies Required

• Experience maintaining and operating industrial boilers, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, or similar mechanical utility systems.
• Training or education in industrial maintenance, mechanical systems, utilities operations, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of steam generation, distribution systems, and refrigeration principles.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Position Requirements

Our team works in a variety of conditions from laboratories to farm operations...but everyone needs to:

• SAFELY work in an industrial environment using approved procedures, i.e., Lockout/tagout, confined space, line break, right to know, PPE, etc.,
• Have experience in the use of hand and power tools...it is Maintenance after all.
• Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs....never more.
• Work in areas that may be hot, cold, stinky, noisy, ultra-clean, or require additional PPE. May be exposed to temperature variations, prolonged standing, or walking.
• Valid drivers' license may be required.
