• Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic schematics and manuals.
• Provide training and technical support to junior technicians.
• Maintain maintenance records and documentation.
• Ensure a clean, safe work area per OSHA standards.
• Assist in facility improvement projects and installations as needed.
• Work nights and weekends as required to support operations.

About the Role:

The Maintenance Technician C is a senior-level maintenance professional responsible for performing advanced diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on plant equipment while working independently with minimal supervision. This role provides guidance and technical support to junior maintenance technicians and plays a critical role in ensuring optimal equipment performance, minimizing downtime, and maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs in accordance with Circular policies and all safety and OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Act) requirements.
• Execute and lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs to ensure plant equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Diagnose, adjust, repair, or replace fixed and rolling stock equipment including, but not limited to, balers, conveyor systems, gearboxes, electrical motors, machine shafts, rollers, bearings, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic schematics and technical manuals.
• Provide training, direction, and technical support to Maintenance Technician A and B team members.
• Identify root causes of equipment failures and recommend long-term corrective solutions.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Ensure a clean and safe work area in compliance with Corporate and OSHA standards.
• Participate in facility improvement projects and equipment installations as needed.
• Work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, to support operational needs and emergency repairs.

Minimum Job Qualifications:

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience (recycling, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environment preferred).
• Experience with balers, conveyors, and processing equipment.
• High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment
• Able to follow instructions for operating equipment and record keeping
• Able to execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner
• Able to maintain a clean & safe environment

Preferred Job Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
