Job summary

Circular Services is seeking a Recycling Maintenance Mechanic for the 2nd shift in Normal, IL. You will repair and maintain machinery such as pneumatic tools, conveyors, and production equipment to keep operations safe and efficient.

Required: at least 1 year of mechanical repair experience in a heavy industrial setting and willingness to travel to other plants. Preference for bilingual English/Spanish; technical school is a plus.

Qualifications

• Technical school preferred.
• 1 year minimum mechanical repair experience in a heavy industrial setting or equivalent.
• Able to travel to other plants occasionally.
• Preferred bilingual English/Spanish.
• Flexible to work on multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Observes mechanical equipment in operation to locate causes of trouble.
• Work on multiple projects like metal fabrication, trucks, trailers, conveyer systems, and electrical panels.
• Diagnoses equipment failures and provide recommendations for proper repair course of action.
• Dismantles equipment to remove and replace defective parts.
• Adjusts functional parts of equipment and control instruments.
• Ensure that all equipment complies with OEMs and Regulatory Agencies operating standards, Ensures proper equipment lubrication in compliance with OEMs lubrication schedule.
• Follows Preventive Maintenance Work Order procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Qualifications:

• Technical school preferred
• 1 year minimum mechanical repair related experience in a heavy industrial setting or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be flexible to work on multiple projects.
• Must be able to travel to other plants on occasion.
• Preferred bilingual English/ Spanish

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
