Lunds & Byerlys Mitchell Road is seeking a Maintenance Technician C for a full-time position on a 3rd shift (10:00pm–6:30am) at Mitchell Road facility. The role covers preventive and routine maintenance across electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and machine servicing to ensure product quality and safety.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, 1+ year experience with packaging/food equipment, and PLC troubleshooting ability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two-year technical degree or equivalent knowledge desired.
• One or more years' experience with packaging and food manufacturing equipment and repairs.
• Solid mechanical, electrical, and repair troubleshooting abilities including PLC.

Responsibilities

• Follow equipment repair and maintenance guidelines to ensure product quality and freshness according to department standards.
• Troubleshoot repair issues and consult with vendors or internal staff to resolve problems.
• Maintain equipment parts and supplies inventories and anticipate needed items.
• Perform preventive maintenance following the established schedule.
• Inform production workers of downtime due to maintenance to minimize impact.
• Keep a clean and orderly work area, free from debris and clutter.

Lunds & Byerlys Mitchell Road is currently hiring for a self-directed and outgoing Maintenance Technician C! This position works a full-time schedule and earns a competitive wage of $23.00-$30.00/hr.

We operate 24 hours/day and 365 days/year. For this position we are looking for someone with 3rd shift availability from 10:00pm - 6:30am, Saturday & Sunday are mandatory, while the other 3 days are flexible.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for performing routine and non-routine types of preventive and ongoing maintenance (this includes repairs in the areas of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and/or machine servicing).

Maintenance Technician Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Follow appropriate equipment/tool repair and maintenance guidelines to assure product quality, availability and freshness according to department standards.
• Troubleshoot equipment repair issues and consult with outside vendors or internal staff to ensure problem resolution.
• Maintain equipment, parts and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies.
• Perform equipment and building preventative maintenance following established schedule.
• Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventative maintenance techniques.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area ensuring workspace and storage areas are free from debris and clutter.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education
  • Required: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Desired: Completion of two-year technical degree or equivalent knowledge
• Experience:
  • One or more years' experience with packaging and food manufacturing equipment and repairs
  • Solid mechanical, electrical, and repair troubleshooting abilities and skills, including PLC
• Other required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • A service-oriented team member with a high energy, positive and friendly demeanor
  • Ability to respond to continually changing priorities and coordinate multiple projects
  • Ability to work safely in a fast-paced, food manufacturing environment
  • Ability to comply with USDA, FDA, OSHA, AIB and all other regulatory agencies while complying with good manufacturing practices
  • Computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills
  • Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend English
